My new white Italian leather sofa was stained recently. The stain was initially brown but with cleaning is now a very faint yellow stain. Can you remove it?

The stained area may require re-colouring. The yellow stain is damage to the leather finish, causing it to look yellowish. Since you have tried to remove the stain yourself there is a chance the stain has set and it may be difficult to remove, however we have a very high success rate for most stains we treat.

+
How should I maintain my leather furniture once cleaned?

Basic cleaning of your furniture will require you to wipe your furniture two or three times a week with a soft rag or vacuum. Make sure to be careful while cleaning, it is important that soft materials must be used when cleaning leather as it can scratch easily, affecting its distinct grain or finish.

We recommend professional cleaning and conditioning every year. Oils in your leather dry out and evaporate even when your leather is rarely used. It is important to replenish these oils as well as occasionally clean the leather to protect it for years to come.

+
Will you be able to determine the type of leather I have and the best way to treat it?

Different animal skins are used to produce a variety of leather finishes. All leather comes from one source, the hides of animals. The most common is from cows. All leathers are processed in a similar manner to achieve a particular look and feel. Once the leather is tanned and processed, certain sections are then selected for use in a particular application. This process determines the type of leather that will be made available to you. In almost all situations, similar tanning and dyeing chemicals and processes are used. The most common type of leather, Top Grain (coated) leather is used in almost all automotive and furniture upholstery. This type of leather is the most durable and easiest to maintain. Aniline (Nubuck) is a form of leather with a very soft feeling. Usually there is no finish, leaving it unsealed and susceptible to dirt and staining. Suede is a type of this leather.
+
Can you clean my car interior as well as my leather furniture?

Yes, leather interiors in vehicles take a lot of abuse from sun, water, and dirt. Our cleaning and conditioning process will help your interior last as long as your car.
+
I have a leather chair that is not in the best condition but it was expensive and I don't want to throw it out, do you think you can help?

We can usually help the appearance of your leather, and of course leave it physically clean. Removing soils and oils also prevents them from chemically attacking the leather finish, and penetrating the corium (substrata). As your leather ages, however, microscopic cracks develop which can become stained. Eventually, refinishing becomes necessary to achieve significant cosmetic improvement.
+
What does your conditioning process do for my leather?

Our thorough, hand-applied conditioner restores beneficial oils and water to your leather to help maintain optimum moisture content. This keeps it supple, which helps reduce severe creasing which can lead to cracking.
+
How often should my leather be conditioned?

It depends on how you use it, and how harsh your environment is. Exposure to sunlight and air flow accelerate the drying-out process. Rule of thumb; every 6 months to 2 years.
+
After you condition my leather will it rub off?

No, it will not rub off. We use only the dyes and finishes that were used when the leather was originally produced. The new finish is as hardy as the original finish.
+
Will the conditioner change the feel of my leather?

Although every situation can be different, it should feel very close or exactly like it did when it was new.
+
Can you service my furniture on site?

Yes! the best part is we can minimise the ‘down time’ of your furnishings by having one of our technician’s work ‘on site’ to expedite any cleaning and conditioning that is needed.
+
Can I condition my leather couch myself?

Yes, you can but we recommend leaving it to an expert for the best possible results! It is possible you will not use the right product and end up causing damage. Many products suitable for, say, saddle leather or footwear should never come near your upholstery, as is the case with some “cleaning protectants” which contain silicones.
+
Do you dye leather?

No, unfortunately we do not dye leather.
+
Do you repair rips and tears?

We do not repair leather rips and tears
+
I have an oil-based stain on my cushion, what can I do?

Oils tend to dissipate into leather. As such, small concentrations of oil may gradually disappear. To accelerate the process, apply dry corn starch directly to the affected area, covering the stain. Let the corn starch draw oil up out of the leather for 4-8 hours. Gently wipe away, and then repeat the process as necessary. Keep in mind that this is a home remedy with no detriment to the leather, but of limited effectiveness.
+
Do you charge to come out to my home and inspect my furniture?

+

Our thorough, hand-applied conditioner restores beneficial oils and water to your leather to help maintain optimum moisture content. This keeps it supple, which helps reduce severe creasing which can lead to cracking.

I have an oil-based stain on my cushion, what can I do?

Let the corn starch draw oil up out of the leather for 4-8 hours. Gently wipe away, and then repeat the process as necessary. Keep in mind that this is a home remedy with no detriment to the leather, but of limited effectiveness.
