Even after you clean your microsuede, or microfibre sofa or armchair, below the surface you’ll still find dirt, dust, dander, dust mites, and other forms of grime. Not only will your furniture begin to appear worn or shabby, but it can also contribute to allergy problems.

The tight knit of densely packed fibres helps keep some of the dirt and allergens from penetrating microsuede, however that doesn't mean you don't need to regularly vacuum microfibre upholstered furniture.

You should vacuum your microsuede upholstery weekly. Use a bristled upholstery attachment to remove dirt and brush the nap (raised, fuzzy surface) of the microfibre at the same time, which helps to keep it feeling soft. You can also brush your microfibre using a soft, nylon-bristled scrubbing brush.
